Upington
With a population of approximately
60 000, and an advanced infrastructure, Upington can rightfully be described as a bustling business and holiday town.
Situated along the fertile banks of the Orange River, many industries including a flourishing agricultural sector have evolved from this life-giving water source.
Today, Upington is the Provincial Capital for the Northern Cape Province and as such has taken on a new and important role in the development of the whole region.
With a relatively low humidity factor, the heat in the middle of the Summer months is more bearable and therefore conducive to outdoor and watersport activities on the Orange River.
